The ruling TRS in Telangana continues to face the issue of ‘identical symbols’ even within the Nagarjunasagar Meeting bypoll.
The Election Fee has allotted tractor, road roller, chapati maker symbols to Unbiased candidates, which look similar to TRS image ‘car’.
The TRS leaders declare that it misplaced Dubbak Meeting bypoll to BJP in December 2020 resulting from these equivalent symbols arguing that TRS voters voted for Independents complicated these symbols with automobile.
BJP candidate in Dubbak Raghunandan Rao gained with a slender majority of simply 1,118 votes over TRS candidate Solipeta Sujatha.
Although a number of Unbiased candidates contested Dubbak bypoll, one Unbiased candidate Bandaru Nagaraju acquired 3,570 votes, who was allotted chapati maker image which seemed much like TRS automobile image.
TRS leaders declare that TRS voters voted for Nagaraju resulting from confusion and that’s why he acquired 3,570 votes whereas all different Independents acquired votes in single digit.
TRS leaders say this alone is proof that Nagaraju acquired TRS votes.
In 2018 Meeting polls too, TRS leaders claimed that TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy gained from Huzurnagar with the slender majority as a result of an Unbiased candidate was allotted road roller image which was much like automobile image.
Now, the EC has once more allotted road roller, tractor, chapati maker symbols to Independents in Nagarjunasagar, which is giving sleepless nights to TRS leaders.
